RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a standard format used to publish frequently updated content, such as web logs (blogs), news articles or podcasts. Using a RSS reader, you can subscribe to and view news feeds from RSS sources, including headlines, summaries and links to full stories, without having to visit a website.
RSS capabilities are now built in to the latest versions of Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. There is also a number of free and commercial RSS Readers available for download. Performing a search for "RSS Feed Readers" in any major online search engine will return many RSS readers which can be PC or web-based. Some readers also integrate with mobile devices such as cell phones and PDAs.
