Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Administrative Plan

The NYS HCR Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Administrative Plan is created to delineate the policies used to govern the administration of the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Programs in the HCR Section 8 Local Administrator Network.

The purpose of the NYS HCR Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Administrative Plan is to clarify written policies in accordance with the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations regarding matters that are not covered under the HUD regulations but left to local discretion. The HUD regulations governing the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program are documented in the Code of Federal Regulations, 24 CFR Part 982, 24 CFR Part 5 and 24 CFR Part 35.
