NY Main Street Program Helps with Attica Village Restoration Project

The Village of Attica has completed a New York Main Street (NYMS) program grant. The $250,000 grant leveraged more the $827,000 in private investment and provided assistance to six buildings in the Village’s downtown commercial district.

The owners of 45 Market Street, an auto parts store, used a $50,000 NYMS grant toward a $300,000 comprehensive renovation project. The project involved significant restoration of the building’s fa├žade, and dramatic improvements including reopening the storefront and upper story windows.

NYMS program funds are available to not-for-profits and municipalities annually as part of the Regional Economic Development Council’s Consolidated Funding Application process.
