HCR Breaks Ground on Richmond Hill Senior Living in Queens

Commissioner/CEO Towns was on hand recently to celebrate the start of construction of the 65-unit Richmond Hill Senior Living Residences in Queens.

The six-story, 62,500-sq-ft Arker Companies development will provide affordable housing for elderly residents and is financed with a combination of Low-Income Housing Credits and State Low-Income Housing Credits through HCR. Amenities include a ground floor lounge, community facility, parking, and a laundry room.

Richmond Hill Senior Living and Richmond Place, an adjacent development for low-income families that is financed by NYC Housing Preservation and Development, will be built on a former brownfield site and will play an important role in strengthening the Richmond Hill neighborhood and meeting the need for affordable homes in New York City.
