HCR Celebrates Opening of Lakeview Heights in Seneca Falls

HCR's Tom VanNortwick, Assistant Commissioner for the Buffalo Region helped cut the ribbon recently at Lakeview Heights Apartments in Seneca Falls. The development provides 26 supportive housing units for people living with persistent and severe mental illness, and 14 apartments for low-income residents.

HCR provided Low Income Housing Tax Credits that are expected to produce $6.6 million in equity. HCR partnered with the New York State Office of Mental Health on the development, which provided $2.9 million.

Lakeview Mental Health Services, Inc. is the developer, owner and managing agent of the project. The organization provides mental health and rehabilitation services along with affordable housing and is currently serving six counties in the Finger Lakes region.

The complex includes exercise facilities, TV lounges, laundry facilities, a picnic area and walking trails. Daily bus service is available to and from Lakeview Heights.
