HCR Launches Housing and Neighborhood Impact Survey

NYS Homes and Community Renewal's (HCR) Office of Policy and Research is conducting a statewide Housing and Neighborhood Impact Survey to explore how HCR's investments have impacted New York's residents and neighborhoods. The survey will be mailed to renters and homeowners in more than 9,000 units that were constructed or rehabilitated since 2007 with funds from HCR's capital and locally-administered programs.

This is an effort to measure the impacts of our investments beyond units and dollars, and make sure that the investments we make are creating decent, affordable homes in neighborhoods that are safe, healthy and sustainable. We expect the data to provide valuable information at both statewide and regional levels, and to be a useful tool in assessing the effectiveness of our programs and informing policy decisions.
