The Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008 (H.R. 3221) has been called "the most comprehensive housing legislation in over a generation." This Act includes significant improvements to the Low Income Housing Credit and the Housing Bond programs, the two most important programs for creating and preserving affordable housing in New York State.
