Subject: Free Internet Marketing Resource at www.NYHousingSearch.gov
NYHousingSearch.gov is an Internet resource for marketing and finding affordable, accessible housing. The site is free for users and is a collaboration between HCR, the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities, and the New York State Department of Health.
The housing listing and locator service provides detailed, up-to-date information about available units across the state and is accessible online at www.NYHousingSearch.gov or through a toll-free, bilingual call center (877-428-8844) staffed Monday-Friday from 9am-8pm. Renters can conduct customized searches and landlords can:
Advertise properties for free, with pictures, map links and more
Include details about amenities (like utilities, parking, appliances)
Describe neighborhood features such as schools, parks and public transportation; list the distance to shopping and other conveniences
Access a toll-free, bilingual call center to help add, update and remove properties and conduct market comparisons
Access tools to help large property managers list multiple units quickly
Conduct free and easy neighborhood market comparisons
Remove properties immediately when rented to avoid unwanted calls
Keep rented units in the system to be re-activated with the click of a mouse when available again
