Homes and Community Renewal

New York Main Street (NYMS) Program

Funding Available: Up to $6.2 million
New York Main Street Building Renovations
The New York Main Street (NYMS) program provides resources to invest in economic development and housing opportunities in downtown, mixed-use commercial districts. A primary goal of the program is to stimulate reinvestment and leverage additional funds to establish and sustain downtown and neighborhood revitalization efforts. Units of Local Government or organizations incorporated under the NYS Not-for-Profit Corporation Law may apply for matching grants to assist New York's communities with Main Street and downtown revitalization efforts. Recipients may award these matching grants to reimburse building owners for renovations to downtown mixed-use buildings.
