Launched in 2009, NYHELPs is a program co-administered by the New York State Higher Education Services Corporation and the State of New York Mortgage Agency (doing business as the State of New York Higher Education Finance Authority (NYHEFA)) to provide eligible New York State resident borrowers with affordable fixed interest rate student loans to attend qualified degree granting colleges throughout the State.
